Exposed came from the unexpected or the hidden, it came from life itself and how at times it shows us but we take it for granted or can’t step out our egos and pay attention to the meaning of different events we come across. 

As a symptom of a catarsis, wich by definition can represent liberation, expulsion or purge, unfamiliar or strange to someones’s nature or yet from corruptive and shocking but on the other hand it can represent spiritual purification in the comtemplation of the tragic. 

Exposto emerged from a locked room in my own house for years, a room in which my archives and photographic memories (prints and negatives) were enclosed. A place where for years i relucted to enter and face it but nonetheless time worked in silence ... where mold was erupting from the prints and negatives , representing time and reafirming life itself as being micro organisms. 

For aproximately two years i have been immersing into this photographic memory, working or “collaborating” in the process . Adding organic material , manipulating light or the lack of it and yet , controlling temperature and humidity reaching the matter . 

Revisiting, reframing, and above all being an active spectator of this process where nature does its part and where eventually photography comes into place capturing in high definition the new recent image, transforming and freezing the permanent impermanence of things .
